Some of my most recent art work deals with identity and aging. Issues related to aging such as isolation, housing and financial sustainability are threaded throughout my work. I often use humor as well as seemingly innocuous forms such as a bird nest egg cup which may be used as a functional piece but also has meaning related to the title. I like to ask questions as opposed to creating didactic pieces.
I make purely functional pieces as well. Sometimes its difficult to find the line between the two.
